Completion of Mandalabhishekam

Om Nama Shivaya
Sri Gurubhyo Namaha

The poorthi of the 45 day mandalabhishekam took place on 8-June-2008 (Sunday) - Sarvadhari Vaikasi sukla paksha panchami day. It was attended by villagers and its descendants now settled elsewhere. The highlight of the function was a 108 sankhabishekam to lord Sri Thirukkalatheeswarar special pujas and abishekams to deities of Sri Kokilaambaal and Sri Thirukkalatheeswarar. The rituals were conducted by Sri Sabarathna Gurukkal of Vilambakkam. The siva temple with the adjoining amman (grama deivam) temple and the grand banyan tree presented a fantastic sight - full of villagers with the surrounding lush green paddy fields providing a panoramic backdrop

Now the focus is on undertaking other activities to strengthen the temple and worship. This temple activity has also spurned the interest of neighbouring villages in getting their temples renovated!
